How to Insert & Remove the SIM card from your iPhone 6

We're getting lots of questions in the last few days about the iPhone 6 from people who can't quite find where the SIM card goes. Don't worry, we've created a simple guide for how you would go about inserting or removing a SIM card for your iPhone 6.

Where's SIM card slot located in a iphone 6 and iphone 6 plus?

The SIM card slot is located on the right side of the phone. You'll see a little rounded rectangle shape with a hole on it. Stick the SIM ejector tool that came with the phone (or a paperclip) to eject the tray containing the nano-SIM card. It is on the right edge near the middle. There is a small hole that you insert a tool into to release it, just like on earlier iPhones. If you're still having trouble finding it, check out the Apple website and follow the diagram.

Insert the SIM Card

Power the device off.
Note Press and hold the Power button.
Slide the Power switch right, to power off the device.
Note Allow several seconds for the device to power off.

Insert the end of a SIM eject tool or a small thin paper clip into the hole on the SIM tray. Press firmly and push the tool straight in until the tray pops out.

With the gold contacts facing down, insert the SIM card in the SIM card tray.

Remove the SIM Card

Power the device off.
Note Press and hold the Power button.
Slide the Power switch right, to power off the device.
Note Allow several seconds for the device to power off.
